About us

A new name. Twenty years of clearance experience.

Mind the Clearance is a family-run business based in Kingston upon Thames. The brand is new — the trade isn’t. We’ve been clearing homes, flats and offices across south-west London and Surrey for more than two decades, and we know exactly what it should feel like to invite us into your home.

Family-run, properly

This is a small family business. The same people who pick up the phone are the people who turn up at your door — and the people who’ll be in the van at 8am tomorrow morning. There’s no call centre, no franchise badge, no anonymous account manager. If something goes wrong, you can ring the family directly and we’ll put it right.

20 years on the road

Between us we’ve done the lot: probate clearances in Norbiton, end-of-tenancy turnarounds in Surbiton, full house clearances in Richmond, garage clear-outs in New Malden, retail strip-outs in Kingston town centre, and more single-sofa pickups than we can count. Two decades of doing this work has taught us when to take it slow (a probate clearance is rarely just admin) and when to be properly fast (a landlord between tenancies needs the keys back the same week).

Why a new name?

Because we wanted a business that sounded like the way we actually work: friendly, plainly British, and respectful of the moment a clearance usually catches you in. Cleared with care isn’t a marketing line — it’s a description of how we’ve always done it.

We live and work across the Royal Borough and beyond. We know which one-way to take through Kingston town centre on a Thursday, where to park a Luton outside a Surbiton terrace, and which charity in New Malden takes upholstered furniture and which doesn’t. The map sticker on the back of the van isn’t marketing — it’s just where we’ve worked.
